Wanted: Southern California Diesel MB
Hey guys,
I'm looking for a Diesel in the Southern California area. I'm looking to spend around $3000. I'm open to any model... I'd just like it to be clean, relatively rust-free, and not have a more than 200k miles on it. Otherwise, I'm really not picky. I'm looking to buy in the next week or so, cash in hand. Thanks! |
When did you move to SoCal?
BTW, hi from BFC OT! |
Hey!
Well I'm actually not moving out until August 24th... I'm doing everything I can to have a car bought before I arrive. Gonna be studying Transportation Design at Art Center. Wooo BFc |
There's lot's of them around here. You can be picky too if you have the time.
Under 200K makes it tougher though. Good Luck. |
You could also go to Autotrader.com and use a LA zip code like 90012. Put a range of 100 miles or less and the model number and year range and you will get all sorts of cars.

I'd sell you my 1984 300SD for $1500. You can read all about it here. I don't have the time, money, or interest anymore. You can see what I'm in the car for on the following thread.
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/256199-back-diesel-game-1984-300sd.html?highlight=300sd I would drive this car across the country tomorrow. Mechanically, it is sound, but it is pretty ugly. New tires, new shocks, new brakes, valve cover gasket and valves adjusted, R-12 working AC, misc other parts. ZERO rust. NEEDS: Power seat connection fixed - passenger rear window regulator - center vent dashpod - Cosmetics! You can PM here if interested. OOPS....I just saw this post http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/283054-pre-purchase-diagnosis-test-results-thoughts.html#post2527862, and it looks like you found one. Hope it is working out for you. |
