Wanted: 1985 300 TD Wagon
I'm looking for a solid 1985 TD Wagon. Email me at maxsadler at gmail dot com if you've got a rust-free one and a decent price that doesn't need work.
Thanks Max |
What's decent? :D
I do have one for sale. |

Rust free that doesn't need work comes with a premium. 1985 year model adds to that premium.
Your term "decent" I hope reflects the realism of what you are looking for. Very hard to find what you're describing..... ;) |
John Trevey *had* a very nice '85 (White/Blue) available for sale - his wagon seems extremely nice and worth consideration.
He posted a link with pics in an earlier thread. http://snipurl.com/1jtgv8 |
A) I know that it might be a bit until I find what I'm looking for but this seemed like a good place.
B) I'm not in a huge hurry. Baby on the way, coupled with a German Shepard, means I need something bigger. C) I don't know that much about these cars to be honest, but I need a big, cool-looking, solid wagon, don't mind doing basic repairs myself. This seemed perfect. What do you guys think of this? http://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/e11051.m43.l1123/7?euid=80999091aa70415883b7ef3bde1444fa&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Febaymotors%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI. dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D250746488883%26ssPageName%3DADME%3AX%3ARTQ%3AMOTORS%3A1123 or this Thanks |

that first link looks like a nice car, but the engine shots show line heaters on the IP... that means it's been run on veg oil, so take that into consideration. 8500 for an 85 wagon with a questionable engine sounds risky to me...
this is a great site for learning and getting assistance with any MB diesel, so be sure and come back with questions when you have them. it will help if you post where you are located, many users here could help if you need it locally! |

Now looked at a couple with what I've learned here on the forum.
Discovered that a) I really just don't like the white ones. b) quite how many have rust. c) that the veggie conversions seem to be terrible things to engines. So... There's this one back on ebay. 290K miles, but looks nice. Anyone else have a non-white one in the northeast? |
