Six Mercedes cars for sale, $300.00 each no kidding

I have decided to sell six of my cars because I have no time and less room. They are $300.00 each. I'll forward pics soon.

I have titles for most of these cars and will have to find them in my disorganized file system, but I'll give you what I have, plus a bill of sale so you'll be ok for taking them home.

All cars are in the SE Michigan area, outside of the city of Detroit, in a small city near Ann Arbor and Flint. Two are in my main garage, the other four in a storage area. All cars not sold by DEC 1 2011 will be hauled to the scrapyard, because I just don't need the complications any more.

Five out of six cars do run and have run within the past year, and now need little work plus a battery to run. W hunter has seen two run, he helped me get them going. That's not an endorsement but he can attest to the fact that they run
Pic will follow. I want to see what interest is like:

73 220D, MT, needs brakes probably, leaking slave cylinder, little rust but needs paint clean-up

59 180D Red with newer (OM612) factory engine - runs well, needs front bearing greased, and new brakes. Seats worn Some rust

59 180D black with newer (OM612) factory engine, some rust on floor, needs front wheel cylinder. Has excellent old radio, the car's worth it for the radio

61 220Sb runs, used to drive it, has sat a while large number of extra parts in trunk. Carbs a little finicky.

59 190D with crashed in roof-- complete but needs a new roof where tree hit it.

59 220S old style ponton. needs engine, has excellent body and trim, worth more than that but I haven't got the time.

You could hook any of these cars on a dolly and roll them 1,000 miles, that's how I got most of them here, usually from warmer southern climates.

Come December 1, I start hauling them to the junkyard, their storage is up 31 DEC 2011.

It would be a shame to scrap them, but I saved them as long as I can.

And I still have a ton of cars.

Contact me evenings after 6:00 at 313 408 8789

Len Sokoloff, if you still have Phil's address in the ponton group, you can call him and tell him to bring a tractor trailer and take them all, but the price is firm.

I would so buy one of those 180D's from you but I don't really have the room. Before you have to send them to be scrapped let me know, maybe I can figure something out.

I know they're listed cheap but I'm in NJ and would have to pay for shipping (which I'm okay with)...so if you could get some photos and we could talk a bit more about overall condition etc...I'd definitely be interested in at least one of the below.

December 1, the deal is made with the scrap yard. I'm serious.

Wow, if I could find a trailer and a vehicle that can tow it (my Jeep has no tow hitch), I'd consider this for one of the diesels. I've certainly got the space and it'd hate to see them end up in the junkyard.

If anyone is going to pick one of these cars up and going to Arizona or SoCal I would love to split the transporation costs if they could haul one of the Pontons (or the '73 diesal) probably a long shot but I wouldnt forgive myself if I didn't try.

Or is there any dealers out there who can help (offer tips or know of a reliable trans. company) with arranging transporation, I wouldn't know where to begin.

Don't scrap these cars!!

PM sent re: 220Sb. You've rekindled a decades old itch, and Darling Wife didn't threaten me with a frying pan when I floated the idea of acquisition.

Pictures please.....

Strangely enough, my wife did NOT go ballistic at the idea of the '73 220D. She is even willing to make the drive with me to tow it back. What the heck is going on???

Nevermind. Where I was going to work on it, a Stude now sits.

Well...i'm already in deep doo-doo for spending our anniversary at a drag strip, almost too deep. You guys are making me wish i hadn't just used my eighth life but i don't want to risk my ninth life on a car project.

Good luck the the sales, and best wishes to those who purchase. Hopefully we'll be able to follow a few of these projects as they come back to life.
