1987 300TD (Rhode Island)

1987 - 300TD - Gray- 170K

Located in Pawtucket, RI
I am the 3rd owner.

Since owning in June i've replaced the alternator, battery, fuel filter, serpentine belt, new brake pads, rotors, and tires and repaired my exhaust after a build up in the CC - turbo works great now.

There is rust around the jack points.
Sunroof does not work
Back right window right does not work.
Radio does not work.
There is a kickback when shifting - mostly occurs on short city trips. Highway drives much smoother.
Odometer stopped at 154. 170 is accurate.

Oil changes every 2k
AC works
Interior is in great shape, minor scuffs on the backseat from the previous owner.
No accidents
Euro headlights

I purchased this car knowing it will need more time/attention/maintenance, and I enjoyed the process of learning about these TD's - I love it, but it's not practical for me.

$5500 OBO

Thanks,
Colby

top price for one of these.....i'd expect to see detailed pictures of NO RUST and a lot shorter list of inoperables. i've sold VERY comparable vehicles (w124 wagons from the NE w/ issues) in th last couple years and didn't crack $2500

The problem with $X OBO is that X tends to send a message as to the basic price range that's acceptable.

If you are expecting over 2k out of the car ebay is definitely the place to go.

Realistically for $5500 you can pretty much get a 2002 or 2003 E-class in nice shape with pretty low miles (under 150k)...with everything working.

Fifteen hundred more for a vehicle with a long list of inoperable/problems. I don't think so. Although there was an old saying, so old I forgot what is born every minute.

Yes a friend of mine did just that 01' e320 wagon incl. 3rd seat and 4matic with 74K and seller put on new brakes and rotors. He paid 5700 or so, but it was a good fair deal.

shame there aren't a set of good pictures to go with the ad here-might help sell this car.

If I didn't already have a wagon needing some work, I'd be more curious

Hey there my Northern friend! You still looking for another wagon? The cL ad for this car didn't show nearly enough, but if it's close, go on ahead and take a look - what could it hurt ?
