Looks pretty sweet. I don't think I have ever seen a wagon with cloth before.

Good luck with your sale.

That is one beautiful machine! I wish I had enough money to be a discriminating collector.

Well wouldn't you know it...these Mercedes Motoring hipsters went and ruined the car!

First of all, here's a couple fibs in their statements:

1) 2 owners - More like 5 owners and that was before the current owner.
2) Paint 100% original - the rear decklid had a fist-size dent. If it wasn't repainted, it was pulled rather elegantly.

They removed: Euro lights, polished Bundts, the complete Euro cloth interior AND velour carpeting, changing for MB Tex and loop carpeting.

AND they ripped out the manual windows for power, and a wood console.

Lame.

Wow! I remember posts and pics about this car.
A one of a kind car Frankensteined so they probably could get a $25k profit. That is a shame!

The person who paid a pretty penny for this car should know it's history.

Mercedes Motoring

I think the two most important tools these guys use in their "restorations" are armor all wipes and a Digital Camera with a wide angle lens.

Mercedes Motoring really did ruin that car. It went from awesome rare Euro spec options to American stuff. Makes no sense to me. In the real world, that hurts the value.

About the only thing I'd argue with is the manual windows.

What'd it sell for?
