2006 E320 CDI 1 Owner Great Condition $12500 Wichita, Kansas

Recently I purchased 3 trade ins from Mercedes-Benz of Sugarland, Tx. This was one of them, and I picked up the car personally and drove it back to Wichita. Over the course of 1000 miles I averaged 42 MPG verified by the engine computer and stopping at the pump. The first tank lasted me about 750 miles before the reserve light went on, and I was averaging 5 over the speed limit the entire highway run, and about 10% of the miles were getting around in the stop and go city traffic of Houston, Austin and Dallas. This is the last year of the CDI Cast Iron block inline 6. After this came the V6 diesel, and the blutec system with urea injection.

The car is a true 1 owner, with 167,000 miles. The individual bought it new at MB of Sugarland, serviced it religiously there, and traded it in on a new Mercedes. I do not have the paper service records, but all is in the computer system at their dealer. No issues with the car, no obvious leaks, all electronics work and passed an independent inspection prior to my purchase.

Cosmetically this car is in very nice condition. The green metallic paint is glossy, and being a life long Texas car there is absolutely no corrosion anywhere. It does have one scrape on the rear quarter that I have pictured below. I will have the paint touched up and a PDR guy come out to try and push most of it out. I can also have the panel refinished, but I'm reluctant since the car has no prior paint work. With the PDR and touch up it should not be noticeable. Interior is MB-Tex and very, very clean. It does have heated seats, navigation, Harmon Kardon sound system with the hidden center console 6 disc, sunroof, and rear sunshade. I can't find a single crack in the veneer of the wood. Tires are Michelins with 60-70% tread life remaining, all even wear.

The car runs and drives perfectly. Suspension and all systems feel like new. The diesel clatter is unnoticeable and the torque is so over the top it will spin the tires if you let it. 0-60 spec is 6.9 seconds, but it feels like it accelerates faster than that.

I've priced it to be the cheapest in the country by several thousand. Only one beats it that I can find on eBay, cars.com, and Autotrader is a 2005 with over 250,000 miles on it. KBB puts this car at $15,944 retail, NADA $16450. Given this car's overall condition, ownership history, options and Southern climate, I feel like it is a bargain, which I know is what I have to do for a forum member to bite the hook.

Arggghhh!

This model would be on my short list if I were looking for one right now.

You tempt me sorely, Tyler!

Beautiful vehicle at a very tempting price!

I drove this car Saturday when Tyler stopped by, and, while I've sworn off all German cars for myself, I can totally recommend this car to anybody looking for a nice MB diesel.
Very very nice clean car!! Near perfect. Quiet, and shockingly powerful. Just a really nice diesel "real car", meaning you aren't driving something old.
I very much recommend it if you are looking. Even if you aren't......

Always great to see Tyler btw!! Even better when he has something I can drive.....

I test drove one of these when they were new. I remember thinking and saying the torque was like having Niagara falls under your right foot.

If I were in the market this one would tempt me.

I think the inline 6 is a better layout (from a repairing point of view) than the later model v6. Take the cover off the v6 and it is about like looking under the hood of a Ford Powerstroke diesel.

Just remember to disconnect the SBC (one of MB's low points in my opinion) connector whenever you change the brake fluid or replace the pads and you will be fine.

Nice car Tyler. Your price is crazy low - that thing would be $16K-$17K asking price here in DFW. My brother bought one new in the fall of 2006 and it has been a good car.

Rathole: 2007-2009 211 Bluetec diesels do not have urea injection, they include only the diesel particulate filter. Urea did not arrive until the 212 E-class. I own a 2008 Bluetec, so nobody argue with me.

As stated above. It is my understanding that the ones that got urea injection were the non E class cars.

It won't do. My PDR guy didn't think it was worth pushing. My body guy is going to refinish the quarter Saturday. Will look like new; he does excellent work.

WOW.....Tyler you do it again!!! This is a steal!!!

Absolutely beautiful car & it's green! You hardly see any green W211's let alone CDI's!
The interior is especially nice, the seats look like new!

It's too bad I won't be in the market 'till Dec....I'd be all over this!
