1966 Mercedes 200 W110 Chassis 4 speed
I have an 80% restored 66 Mercedes 200, 4 cylinder gas motor/4 speed manual transmission (on the floor shifter). No power steering, but it has power disk brakes in the front with drums in the rear. No A/C, dual heater controls. Optional seat belts installed.
I have gone through and rebuilt or replaced the following: Drive shaft, engine (160 PSI on each piston), cooling system, brake booster, brake calipers and rotors, rear slave cylinders, heater cores, new interior and headliner, carpets, newer 13 inch tires, door seals, windshield seals, dashboard, carburetors, exhaust, front bearings, kingpins, tie rods, idler arm bushing, all 4 shocks, suspension bushings, engine/transmission mounts, windshield wiper system, gas tank, manual choke, charging system (12v alternator), clutch/throwout bearing, clutch slave cylinder and hoses, fuel pump, distributor (only aftermarket part is a pertronix electronic ignition and upgraded coil), belts and cooling hoses, correct hi amperage battery. I have only used genuine Mercedes, NOS, or OEM new for all parts. Features include aftermarket stereo in glove box (no cutting or stupid hack wiring), original users manual, fire extinguisher, full size spare and factory jack and tool kit. Needs the following to be 100%. Blower motor just recently quit, door glass seals should be replaced, bumpers are rust free, but could use re-chroming/straightening. I had wanted to put a set of Coker white walls on it as well, for that true 'vintage' look. Steering wheel could be refinished, but it's in pretty good shape. There is a small ding on the hood that could be fixed, I can send you a picture. The car is located in Beaverton, Oregon. Please email me for more information. Serious offers only. I've spent the last 10 years restoring this car myself and feel the price is fair. Here is the Craigslist Post. 1966 Mercedes 200 Gas 4 Speed |

Looks like my old 62 190c, except mine had blue interior and the turn signals on the fender like a cab.

Very nice. What's up with the front California black-plate and the rear Alaska plate, and the car being in Oregon? Got both black plates? What state is it registered in? NICE car.

I moved to Oregon, but kept the Alaska registration since it was valid. The black plate was original to the car when I got it, and Alaska doesnt require matching plates in the front...

Do you have BOTH black plates? That would be a big deal in California. You can re-register with the old black plates (no charge if you can prove that the car once had those exact plates). If you only have one black plate it is useless..

Always wondered... on the old carb models were periodic carb adjustments for fuel mix necessary, or not so much? Thanks

Carb Adjust
Periodic for me = ~ 30K. Same as checking points (when it had points!)

Is a 200 the original designated model?
I thought 200's were usually diesel? Is this the original motor? And tranny? Very nice looking car
