FS: 1979 240d automatic
 

We are selling our 1979 240d automatic. the car is reliable and has never left us stranded but does have problems.

She needs brake work. Im pretty sure the front calipers have a slow leak because if parked for a long time (months) the brakes go soft. If you bleed them they are good to go. The master cylinder is new. I have been planning on rebuilding the calipers but haven't had the time.

she is also a slow starter and burns oil. has original loop type glow plugs so that might e why she starts slow. It could also be compression. I will try to post pics.

My girlfriend loves this car to death but it has been parked for the last year because she got a 300td and just doesn't drive her sedan.

We are asking 1200$ obo. Don't be afraid to make offers. I would also consider trading for a w110 finnie in similar condition.
