1977 240D EXCELLENT cond. Price LOWERED

FOR SALE, 1977 Mercedes 240D Automatic with WORKING A/C!. I am parting with, after 18 years of ownership, my 240D. Adult owned and driven. 152,700 miles. VERY DEPENDABLE! and SAFE! These cars are known for their Million mile life! Here is what I have done to keep and improve the car. I installed the FAST GLOW plugs, bigger 300D radiator, oil cooler and clutch fan. New water pump, heater control valve, Delo EC-1 diesel coolant. I just serviced the engine oil and filter, all fuel filters and serviced the automatic transmission. All of the front joints and tie rods are in perfect condition. FOUR wheel disc brakes.
I upgraded some interior and exterior parts from a 1979 300d such as the stereo radio, wood ash tray, Front seats with the upgraded cushions, working POWER antennae and EURO headlamp assemblies. Car has new Michelin X radial tires with only 4,000 miles on them. POLISHED alloy BUNDT wheels. I have ALL books, FIRST AID kit, and THREE original KEYS with the round VALET key. I REPLACED the windshield and rubber and replaced the rear window rubber. NO LEAKS. This car is RUST FREE. ORIGINAL PAINT! EXCELLENT interior!
I am INCLUDING a COMPLETE 4 speed stick transmission conversion with the car. This is EVERYTHING from the flywheel to the drive shaft, clutch linkage and pedal assembly, shifter and linkages and a LATE 240D 4 speed transmission. Also I will include if wanted a spare rear third member with axle shafts. I rebuilt the FACTORY A/C a few years ago with resealing the compressor and replacing the receiver drier. I have worked on GERMAN cars for over 45 years and have taken good care of this car. Only selling it to buy a newer BMW.
$3300 with the 4 speed conversion or $3000 without the conversion 805-466-6858 gorman21@yahoo.com

Nice car, but no need to yell at everyone to make that point .

He needs to DRIVE the point home for the craigslist crowd.

I'm curious about the wheels. Did you polish them yourself or buy them that way?

The wheels were on the '79 300D I had for a while. I still have the stocker blue painted hubcaps if the new owner wants them.

I do it primarily because most people graze through a description and it will catch their attention for important points of interest that I am trying to get across when I sell something.

ohhhh I want those euros!!!! AND I AM YELLING! lol Where is a good source for those? I have hubcaps on my 79 and I swear that's what gets peoples attention. I have more people ask about my cute old yellow Mercedes with matching caps than I ever did with bundts. I do like these bundts listed here tho..They look dynamite. GLWS..The nice ones are ALWAYS in Cali. boooo

Nice car at a good price, I'd have a serious look if I wasn't 2000+ miles away.

I would definitely work with you guys if you wanted to ship the car. 100% rust free Calif car! I'll reduce the price if you don't want the 4 speed conversion.
