Here's the craigslist ad.

There's plenty of info on this forum to show what I've done to this car if you do a search. I've had it for almost 7 years and it's time to move on.

Keep in mind, this car is NOT rust free, but I've seen MUCH worse still on the road.

I believe this car could be a daily driver in a salted road area for at least two or three more winters before the rust would take over too much. Then it could be an excellent parts car.

I'm picking up my new to me 1991 300TE on the 10th, so I need to make room in the driveway.

Whoever buys this car has to come and see what they're getting.

Here's a photo of the dent in the front passenger fender. A person ran into the side of the car so the only damage is what you see here. Nothing else was damaged, not even the gaps between the panels.

I just pulled the dent out today. I did the best I could considering I'm still healing from a double hernia operation I had a month ago. :D It's not perfect, obviously, but as I mentioned in the original post, I can get a replacement fender with trim piece for $125. It will need paint to match.

Thanks. It was hard to let go. I love the w123 wagons, but I'm looking forward to what the w124s have to offer.

I hope to have all my w124 wagon issues worked out in the next few weeks.

1985 Mercedes Benz 300TD Station wagon Insp 12/13

As a southerner now living in NYC for work, I'm in the market for a non-rusty wagon to replace mine and came across this. Is this yours or the new owner or a doppleganger? (Not trying to instigate anything, I just remember your listed price was more PP-friendly)

It's the new owner. I am a w124 wagon owner now. :)

We both were happy with our deal and I hope he has good luck with the sale.

This wagon is near perfect mechanically, except for AC. I just couldn't spend any more money on a single car. I got a parts car for my current wagon for about what the AC would cost to fix.

Someone else with a fresh view of the wagon would be able to spend that cash without thinking of the $12k I've dumped into it over the years of my ownership. I had to walk away, and as a result, my marriage is still great. :D
