W116 300SD for sale middle GA $2000 obo DAILY DRIVER
 

This car is an 80 model. The engine runs good and transmission shifts good. The car drives as it should and shuts off. I have put 3,000 miles on this car and it has been a good college car for me. The A/C and heat work well!

I will note I have one or two glow plugs burned out so it takes a second for one cylinder to start firing, but it still starts well in the cold. It has a block heater, but I have never plugged it in. I adjusted the valves to spec 500 miles ago and replaced the fuel filters at the same time. There is one small oil leak at the oil cooler fitting. I have a service history back to 1988 and I am the third owner. The odometer broke at 233k. The tires are fair with 5k or so left in them.

The interior is great, no cracks in the dash and the seats were recovered at some point.

Broken parts: odometer, tachometer, pass. rear window regulator, pass foglight, door locks

THERE IS RUST… There are some holes in the front floors and on the front fenders, one small spot below the rear window, and one on the front passenger door, but the trunk pan is in good shape.

Mods: aftermarket stereo with mp3 input and straight pipe exhaust which exits in front of rear tire and IMHO it sounds cool. I still have stock mufflers which fell off, they are still good and can be welded back on.

This car is great for what it is. I will be in Macon, GA until Jan 13 2014; if it doesn't sell before then I will take it back out to Statesboro, GA, but it will still be for sale and with fresh oil. $2000 obo. I am motivated to sell.
