OK, anyone interested at $4500? questions, comments, offers?

Tough, tough market. That's all.

shertex 07-14-2015 07:44 PM

x2 on the tough market. I've been halfway toying with finding a good deal on a CDI and selling my 99. Nice shape, 167k miles. But I really wonder how much I'd be able to get for it.

I think part of the issue is people have it in their heads that the W123 and W124 diesels are the ones to have. Not necessarily so. It really depends on what you are looking for in a car. I'm toying with the idea of getting another diesel sedan and can't decide if I want a more "modern" CDI or one like the OP has for sale. I like that body style and the trunks are HUGE. Saber's seems to be a well maintained car.

Saber 07-15-2015 04:46 AM

Yes, it is a tough market, for sellers!--buyers, it is a good market. I'd sure like someone from the forum to have this car, so I can keep track of my old friend. $4,000....

Everybody wants the OM606 engine but nobody wants the W210 chassis. It is quite a conundrum of a car. :)

The 210 is fine chassis, just watch the for rust. I miss my '98 E300 daily.

You're literally killing me at that price... must resist... too many cars already.

Saber 07-20-2015 07:20 PM

Haha, no tempting now, the car has been sold, thanks.

Someone definitely got a good buy!

shertex 07-21-2015 09:21 AM

Someone got a great deal....even in today's sagging market.

Just amazes me that someone can buy a car like that for $3500 (or less).

tbomachines 07-21-2015 11:51 AM

I wish I had the money for this...my rx8 is consuming 3 gallons of premium a day on my commute
