FS: 1972 Mercedes 220D Rust Free, Excellent Driver in Noblesville, IN

I'm selling my 1972 Mercedes 220D. I took it as a trade a few months ago, and while it's a fantastic car, it's just not what I want right now (I have my eyes on a local '84 911). I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere, it's very solid and reliable. I've put almost 2,000 miles on it since I've had it.

Album of the 220 today: https://www.flickr.com/gp/sons_of_motosport/U594c9

Appraised at $12,000 for insurance: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0452/7569/files/messinger_220d_appraisal.pdf?16460680545334639533

It's rust free. Before it was repainted in it's two-tone blue and white, it got new inner/outer rockers, new front fenders, and new rear quarter panels below the belt-line. The paint is about 5 years old and looks great. The only thing wrong with the exterior is the original front right hubcap was lost, so right now it's all silver instead of being partially painted white.

The interior is in very nice shape. There are 2 small hairline cracks in the original dash. All the rubber is new around the doors, vent windows, and front/rear windows. The kick panels have a funky floral pattern on them (the guy that restored it was a bit eccentric). I installed an old radio in it. Seats, carpet, door panels, headliner are all in nice shape.

The engine is a factory rebuilt Mercedes OM615 diesel with about 20k miles since the rebuild. It's shockingly peppy and has no trouble in modern traffic. I usually get 30mpg around town with it. It starts right up as soon as the plugs are glowing.

I say it's 99% restored because there are a few known items that weren't completed prior to me getting it: the wipers/interior lights do not work due to a fuse that blows (so there's a short somewhere), the front right hubcap is wrong, and the parking brake needs to be hooked up.

I have extensive spares and extras that I'm including:
Manual transmission conversion parts, including driveshaft.
A/C components (everything except for a condenser).
Factory skid plate.
A Hitch.
Extra Trim, Grills, Hubcaps, Door Panels, Window Glass, Bumpers, a Dash, Window Regulators.
Here's a gallery of almost everything: https://www.flickr.com/photos/sons_of_motosport/albums/72157656549002422

I have a clean/clear title in my name. I'm asking $9,500 or best offer. Don't hesitate to make an offer, while it's a great car, I'm ready to move on. I'm located in Noblesville, IN.
