1982 240D formerly known as Pancakes

Hello, I bought this lovely little 240D from Joe (TheDon) about four years ago. I have been fixing it up to be my daily driver, but now would like to sell it if I can get a good price for it.
Nice new paint over the original paint and a body that did not show any upper body rust. Most dents removed but a few small ones or hard to reach ones remain. Looks very very nice. Done by a local shop that I have used many times.
Good used engine bought off the forum from VS Tech. Represented as a 112,000 mile engine when I bought it. I have not put many miles on it but it is the best running 240D I have owned and I have owned a bunch of them, over 12.
Working speedometer and odometer showing 320,000 on the chassis.
Good bilstein shocks.
Recent alignment.
Stick. Good shifting and good action on the clutch.
New old stock AC compressor bought from VS tech. air blows cold, heat works fine too.
Front seats are from the former Marlene bought here from RLeo. He rebuilt them and installed new leather skins. they have been used but are in very good condition.
New windshield and factory rubber.
New rear window rubber, factory.
New Michelin tires not yet installed on the original factory aluminum wheels with excellent wheel covers.
Beautiful uncracked dash.
Working after market radio.
Manual windows.
Power sunroof.
Good exhaust.
Runs and drives very very well.
I took the exterior pictures on Thursday because the light was good. I'll be posting up the interior pictures as soon as possible.
Asking $4,995. Will include nice straight 6.5" wide bundts.

I can't get the pictures to upload. I can email them to interested parties.

I installed the euro headlights yesterday. Tomorrow I will install the carpets and spiff the interior and take more pictures. I also installed an undamaged grill and a good front bumper with the rubber not falling off it.

Hello. I took a deposit on this lovely little car today. I'll probably be sorry I sold it but I decided I had too many old cars to take care of. This one is pretty much caught up on stuff though so perhaps I should have kept it.

I have a couple of things to finish off on it and then will deliver it to the Nashville TN airport where the new owner will be flying in from Florida to.

i can't take it anymore! a car cannot be "formerly" known as pancakes. once someone goes to the trouble of giving anything that name, including actual pancakes, it/they will always be known by that name....
congrats on the sale, btw
