Absolutely a cool car.

Is the leather original or was it re-upholstered? The pattern and piping is something I've never seen in these cars, and cloth doors? Really unusual.

What is the head casting number?

Seats were re-upholstered by former owner in Italy. Italian leather. other than that interior is OG.
OM602 heads don't crack like #14 on OM603 sometimes does. This is the best motor ever by Mercedes. Still used in Sprinters.

Early 602 heads had problems per the FSM, casting numbers are listed for early and late.

Nice interior.

Looks nice! If I hadn't just bought the Jetta diesel wagon I'd be interested.

How long have you had the car? How is the A/C? Running R-12 or conversion? (I like the dual zone / manual fan setup!)

How is she for freeway power with A/C on, reasonable on-ramp and cruising power?

I'm really kind of on the fence, so unique (in the US anyway), not sure I need another wagon and not going to give mine up, ... but this one has me interested.

No A/C.. try finding a good w124 250td with A/C in Europe! They ALL went to Africa and are taxi's now. I had my eye on one with A/C but it was too rusty. I'd never convert by the way. Plenty swap meets where you can buy R12 cans for $10-$15.

Next winter I will bring my (also Italian import) 1980 w123 300TD factory 5-speed with factory A/C. Silver on black. Ordered like that by the carabinieri and has been shot at. So has a newer rear hatch on it. Bought in police auction.

Where are you located? If California, why is the car not registered in California?

I could imagine DMV/ARB might make registering this car in CA difficult since it was never sold here originally.

My 1987 300TD wagon was sold and my 2003 W210 E320 wagon was totaled (sheds tear).

Arrow

It has not A/C, but has A/C-ver. front bumper.

Option list:
el. sliding roof, front el. window lifters, heat-insulating glass (windshield with tinted strip), add. turn signal lamps, front folding armrest.

Yeah I don't try that anymore. It's possible but I don't bother with that maffia operation they call the EPA or ARB
