Sounds like a good deal, if the ad is on the level. Hope somebody on this list is close enough to check it out and find that it is indeed a good deal. And of course keep us posted about it!

This was my search for "Mercedes diesel"

I'm local and saw the ad, too. There's definitely some rust at the driver's rear jack point in the picture. At this price, people around here know what they have. I expect it's probably somewhat of a basket case in regard to underbody rust. Most local W123s are.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to check it out for anyone. It's probably at least an hour drive from me as it is.

yeah, he thinks he has a 240 turbo diesel 'cause that's what the trunk says, and it's listed as 4 wheel drive....guy bought it at an estate sale and knows virtually nothing about it

Point taken. Normally, I would have caught that, too. I haven't slept much in the past month. We have a newborn in the house. :)

best times ever! enjoy it......as for the car i noticed it is sitting pretty high in front so maybe they did do a 4wd, turbo conversion on it!:eek: definitely worth the 750 if they did
