1983 300TD for sale

1983 300TD for sale $8,500

I have been the owner of this very nice original 1983 300TD wagon since 2002. It is white with red (maroon) MB-Tex interior. It currently shows 220k miles with 100k miles on a 4-speed conversion, which is the best thing that ever happened to this car. It runs at 30 mpg around town and a bit more on many road trips. Routine oil changes and valve adjustments (it consumes about one quart of oil per 5000k miles). A/C works great as does the SLS. This is a rust free car, having lived in Albuquerque since new. Features include powder coated wheels, Panasonic CD player, dark tinted windows, working rear wiper/washer, new front rotors, SLS accumulators, rear hatch struts, original rear cargo cover/net, roof rails, first aid kit and warning triangle. This car will start instantly at temperature of 10° F without the need for the factory block heater. I have used a fuel additive for the purpose of lubricating the fuel pump since the introduction of ULSD fuel in ’06.
This beautiful car has been loved.

So pack a locking duffel bag full of tools, go buy it and drive it home .

? What could possibly go wrong ? .

I've done this and had great fun, my buddy Brian did it with a dangerously rusty Turbo TD from Mi. to Ca. in the dead of Winter, no heater and in one snowstorm the fuel gelled and it died in a truck stop, much interesting Russian problem solving ensued, his clean California 300D soldiers on with the rust bucket's engine .

I am pleased to announce that this beauty has been adopted by a loving new owner.
Now she needs to teach her husband how to drive a stick shift - or maybe not...
