1994 Mercedes E500

1994 Mercedes E500 Black/Black, 126k miles, new dealer installed long block at 61,444 miles. Last and rarest variant of the legendary Porsche/Mercedes collaboration in it's best color combination. Exceptional in all aspects - will rival and shame any 40-60k mile car (if you can find it). Original paint in excellent condition - hood re-sprayed - done flawlessly (meters in the 4's). Owned by passionate, meticulous Mercedes enthusiasts with the resources to keep it in top condition. Enhanced with factory Mercedes Evolution II 17x8.5 wheels and corresponding tires (original wheels included). Fully documented service history with open check book since new - all done at Mercedes. Comes with everything it did in 1994 - keys, manuals, break in procedure book, window sticker, tool kit, first aid kit and spare tire (all never used). Also included Mercedes marketing materials, original 500E brochure, all weather mats, fitted car cover and cargo mat.

As most of us here know this is a result of a unique Porsche/Mercedes production with "no cost consideration" at standards that were never reached again.

I am a long time Porsche and Mercedes enthusiast who's owned most of the German cars worth owning from the last 30 years and this is an opportunity to own one of the finest.

It is one of the best W124 E500's in existence.

Would like to pass along to a like minded enthusiast.

Price is 27,8k - for those with serious interest please contact directly via pm or e mail - will be happy to discuss - thanks.

Located on Long Island, NY.

why? half the fun of selling online is taking the time to write a thoughtful,
fair description of your item only to have every nitwit with internet access rip it apart! :)

"Nicest"

Would be with the "Original" engine
(Hand Built by Porsche's Master Engine Assemblers)
(After Their Machinist Engineers Created the Engine Parts.)
[At: "Duetschmarks/Rand/USD/British Pounds be Damned,
Cost is no Impediment"]

What's on Offer,Now, Is a Beautiful Chassis that Zomeone managed to
Blow the Aforementioned "Work of Art Engine" in less than 70K Miles.

With (Unless Zomeone corrects us) Whatever Stuttgart [MB] (?or Whomever?) managed to cobble together and shove under the Bonnet.

As always: Given the "Yanks" propensity for Road Salt use, EVEN Indoors...
Undercarriage Pictures are not a trivial thing.

"Motivated Seller" I believe the Real Estate mavens call them.

"Purveyor with Attitude" Does not aid her/his own cause.

Original engine was hydro locked - documented by Mercedes - replaced with a complete factory engine shipped from Germany along with a few other items at a cost of $19k - documented.

This 124 was never driven in winter or salted roads - as stated undercarriage is flawless and pictures for those who are actually interested in buying the car are not an issue .

With above said for the want to be detectives on here that like to jump to conclusions - if you wish to find flaws, problems or educate the other members on value please exercise self restrain do not post on my for sale add - if you feel that strongly about it you can start your own post.

I have no interest in baseless internet arguments with anyone about anything - if you do not like my car for any reason - you have no interest - that is fine.

Please respect the for sale post and the details provided.

I can certainly understand why Corra didn't want to engage many of the members on narratives about her car here. There are a lot of absurd comments thrown around and I would't want to address them either.

The provocateur mentions Porsche machining hand-made custom parts for the M119.974 engine? Really? As far as I know the Porsche involvement was limited to suspension and bodywork correct? What exactly did they change in the engine? If they did change anything why does the engine in the 124.036 have exactly the same published output specs as the M119.974/975 engines in the W129 chassis?

Could you provide a link that details the ENGINE changes the Porsche team made?

Beautiful example, good luck with the sale.
