This is a car I bought from a fellow PPer who is in Memphis Tn. I bought it with bad motor. He had done the front seats in new leather. The car looked very good. I had my favorite machinist go through the motor. We found a turned bearing. I bought a good used crank from a member here, bought new cam chain guides, bearings and rings. The engine did not have a lot of miles. I don't believe we did anything to the head as it looked excellent.

When we got it all together it ran and still runs like a new car. Absolutely the nicest smoothest runing 617 turbo I have owned.

Then I got it painted in the original mangenese brown including the rocker panels and side cladding. It looks very good.

The tires don't have many miles on them but they are more than 5 years old so probalby should not be trusted.

At some point along there I decided to buy a newer mb and sold this one to my youngest daughter (the Architect). She has had it for maybe 5 years but has not driven it alot.

She's asking $5,000 but will listen to reasonable offers.

I have a bunch of other pics but cannot seem to get them to download. I'll try to get some soon. IN the mean time I may be able to email them to anybody who is interested.

Such a clean car.. what are you getting out of the Benz hobby? Last car you sold was those two e300s.

This car belongs to my daughter now. I just have the stude with 617 power at the moment. I am considering other benz purchases as we speak.

We offered it to an interested member here for $4,750 or $5,000 with delivery within 500 miles. On the delivery I would require a $500 non refundable deposit. When I get to your place you can examine to your hearts content and if you decide against it I'd just bring it home.

Hummm that sounds interesting! Nice looking and no doubt represented accurately, IMHO of TW. My annual bonus check from work is MY play money.
