1984 300TD modified
 

My wife says I should get offers for my wagon before I decide to make it a daily driver.
I've got the guy who buys wagons in south florida coming this sunday, after I told him I wouldn't take less than $6K.

It's got bad paint. The interior has been changed to black cloth and seats are excellent. I had a bit of small rust on the drivers side roof drain near the hatch in an odd place- well above the antenna and none near it. Door bottoms have a touch of rust and near the passenger forward cowl below the front fender. I need a new water pump and the fog lights blow the fuse quickly. The turn signal stalk and flashers don't work. AC is not working- blower and heat are working fine.

The front brakes are from a GenII w126 so you have to run 15" rims (currently on gen II pancake rims the 15 hole style). With a Myna pump and intercooler, enlarged PC's and jethot style coated exhaust manifold (from a non egr engine) she runs 0-60 in 9 seconds flat. No rear muffler but it's not loud. Up front it's got the lowered springs which were sold some years back as a groups sale here.

That's got to be the wagon that you drove with me to a few U-Pull-It's up in West Palm like 8 years ago. Fastest acceleration on a pre-85 Diesel I've ever seen. Just browsing here but I cannot believe you are selling. Good luck.

My ex Wife hated anything I loved, it turned out she was terribly insecure .

My current Sweet cares not a whit about the jalopies I like to tinker with endlessly, she's also turned down over $10,000.00 cash for the '84 300TD I bought her .

God knows I did, she lied and said fine, after 15 years she stopped the endless complaints and left, I don't miss her one bit .

When one is young one often doesn't realize others are not honest .

The wagon is not being sold, and the wife is not angry at me about that either. Double good news. I'm spending the money to upgrade the wagon in many ways.

Fix the cosmetics and AC then let her drive it, she'll never let you sell it .

My Sweet is gonzo for my '84 Greymarket TD.....

We had a awesome '82 china blue 300TD that was hers- but we had to sell it several years back. She doesn't want a different one and is happy with her daily driver now. This wagon is for me!
