90 350SDL (No Title) $750.
Ok, since I cannot get a hold of the guy that sold me the car, just going to try to sell it like it is, with no title.
1990 350SDL. #17 head. Has head gasket issue, blowing oil into the coolant. No coolant in the oil, just oil in the coolant. Idles smoothly, runs and drives. Both front seats work in all positions, including headrests. All windows go up and down. Tires are good, though one is mismatched in size. The PO put in one of those stupid cone air filters. Yuk. He also installed a boost gauge and USB chargers where the ash tray was. Headlight wipers work. Back story. I bought the car, and put a power steering pump in. I installed a battery, and it runs and drives. I was going to start the head gasket job, until the guy no longer is answering any of my calls or texts. He did throw in a new IWIS timing chain and oil pump chain, as well as the head gasket itself. So, I paid $750 for the car, $85 for a power steering pump, and put in a battery. Drove 5 hours one way to get it. I'm including a much nicer set of 15 hole rims. I'd like to get around $750 for it, but realize without a title that may be much. Car is currently in New York, but I can bring it to the Virginia House if the buyer wants it trailered there. Car would obviously have to be paid for first. |

Good luck with the sale. It might help if you post some pics of the underside showing it's not rusty.

Things might have changed for the better for me. Talked to Vermont DMV, and he said register it there. No residency required. Looks like a road trip for me. If this works, the car will no longer be for sale.

you dont have to drive there to do it, just do it thru the mail. Google classic car lost title, you should turn up a video of a guy detailing all you need to do to get it done thru the mail

It's only a 3 hour drive, and I only have the one bill of sale. I'm not risking it going through the mail. Thanks though.

You don't mail in the original bill of sale, you just send in a copy of it. |

Oh, the fog is lifting and it's becoming clearer.. I need an excuse to take a day off of work anyways. I'll post how it went.

This is how it went.. When the real registration gets here, I can go get the NY title. But, the car is officially mine. Time to remove those chrome arches.. Yuk.
