I guess the RF door was replaced at some time?
reminds me of a man I knew who wanted an Oldsmobile with electric windows in the rear and manual crank window in the front doors. This was around 1970. He went to several dealers who shrugged him off even though he was willing to pay cash. He found one that accepted his order. He drove the car for a year then heard of a class action lawsuit whereby owners of Olds discovered their engines were made by Chevrolet so he filed and later received a $2000 settlement. Some people have all the luck!

That was the most bogus lawsuit. I remember All in the Family even did a joke about it. My GM car has a GM engine in it! The horror!

Ah, I agree but you know, men in pin striped suits can wrangle a case and get money for a stupid thing like that! Only in America!

So WHERE IS JNKRPT, in Mass I assume (based on the info in his post)

What’s the point of making a post without ANY pictures, a price or location? I literally don’t get it, at all. It’s literally a waste of energy to even type this out and makes it seem like a troll ad or scam.

Post Topic Drift

I well remember the GM engine lawsuit, it's wasn't B.S. ~ the B.O.P. 350CID engine wasn't the same as the Chevrolet 350CID engine, not by a long shot .

What happened was : the Oldslowmobile Cutlass was the #1 selling car in America for about ten years and GM couldn't crank out the B.O.P. engines fast enough to they silently installed Chevy small block engines, good engines yes but certainly not what people were paying for .

Imagine if you will : buying a Mercedes turbo Diesel and discovering at the first non Dealer service that is actually had an NA engine installed ~ it ran about the same, right ? .

Unless you were a GearHead of some stripe you'd likely never notice until the Garage Man asked you how you managed to get the less powerful engine ? .

It looks like the O.P. was just another troll or kid testing the waters .

Possibly one more typical 'M*******' .

Possibly .

Sort of like the people who post these super cheap cars and never respond to replies, then later say nobody wanted it so they crushed it.

Talking HEY !

I was born & mostly raised in Massachusetts so I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to say "M@$$#ole" without being censored .
