FS 1976 240D Project $1000 - Texas

I am offering a 1976 W115 240D Project.

I got it for parts but I've since accumulated W115 parts in redundancy.

I am offering this first as a project in case there is a Pelican / Peach member out there just itching for one of these on the cheap.

I acquired this 240D the way you see it in the pics. I haven't taken anything off. It had no engine when I got it. I have a running OM616 for the W115 chassis.

The trunk is full of parts and hardware including radiator, shroud and hub caps. There's even a new headliner laying on the back seat.

For a serious buyer with cash in hand and a trailer to haul the 240D away, we can lay out every part that came with the car and look things over. Whatever's missing I can throw in so you can take the project home and start assembling.

I have a clear title in hand.

The engine is complete with all the accessories mounted including the power-zapping York A/C compressor. I removed the engine running from a rust-away donor 1974 W115. I have a video on my phone of it humming like a bee

Hurry and come get your 240D now else I may drag it inside and make it go vrrrooommm...
You almost can't get here fast enough...

Of course I may pick parts from it if nobody shows up to grab it...

But for now it's complete and ready for a new home

Now Parting

I've decided to part this W115 out.

It has decent interior and many good body parts.

PM or email with requests

In a few days I will request the site administration to delete this thread

A Better Offer

I'm willing to bolt the engine and transmission in the car for a serious buyer

with cash.

Doing this will make a much simpler job for a home DIY garage or driveway

project kinda guy. But I'd need to know a fella is serious before I invest the

time.

I can't guarantee a running, driving car. But I can start the engine

for a serious buyer with cash in hand.

Come in person to view the 240D. We can push the car on the lift and

poke/prod at it to your satisfaction.

Show up with your work clothes on. We'll get all oily & greasy. It'll be gross.

If you're a nice guy we'll give the whole thing a wash down with the pressure

sprayer before and after.

We can order a pizza. There's even beer in the fridge here for when we're

done.

Who else but Scrappy is gonna make you an offer like this?!

Anyone up for the challenge?

C'mon fellas, save a 240D huh

look at it, it's all cute and lonely...don't ya just wanna take it home?

I still can't bring myself to begin parting this one out.

I'm not going to let it linger until it sinks into the ground, rolls on its side then

I double the asking price...

But if anyone would like to make an offer I'm here...standing by the car...with

candlelight vigil...

Let's recap the highlights:

* Everything's here to put it back together
* Clear title
* Solid enough to restore. Could make a halfway decent daily driver even without any attention to cosmetics (ok maybe a little...)
* It's totally worth saving
* Did I mention new headliner ready to install...

Let's make a deal...the shadows are getting longer on its side of the yard...
