If anyone is interested please note that the car is not a drive-away and I am in Farmville, Virginia + it is best to call me or text me (i.e. no PM etc.)
All of the pictures are in the CL posting...

Thank you.

Interesting that there is no picture of the dash or gauges.

Oh well, I have been caught. Special Counsel called in!
Anyone interested in seeing the dash & guage cluster (actually has nice near-orange needles too...) please let me know.
CL cut me off at 23 images & I just tried to load some on this site but can't figure out the re-sizing.

I took an updated shot this evening of the actual guage cluster showing the current mileage etc.
If it satisfies, I can place a copy of my birth certificate next to the guage cluster.

NOTE: the images you see in the CL posting are the ones from the seller I bought from in Indiana. He, Alex, bought the car in Illinois. So the car is Texas->Illinois ->Indiana ->Virginia (me...).

I have finally managed to post a picture taken on 18 February 2019 of the actual guage cluster/odometer/speedo for this 300E.
I have received a number of questions re. Oil/Collant mix etc. & condition of the head gasket.
While I and the previous interim owner found no trace of oil/coolant mixing I cannot attest to actual condition of the M103 engine internals. I simply don't know for a fact.
Worst case scenario in my view is that you are buying a platform with a great body & great, Recaro, interior.

Frankly, if I could slip this interior into my '88 300TE (aside from the front seats...) then I would.

Are all of the sportline specific parts still in place (rack, springs, etc.)?

I really want this car. I've always thought the red 124s were great.

Sale pending

A buyer from Georgia has remitted a deposit & offered above my asking price so a sale is pending. If that falls through on Friday 1 March then I will udpate this posting.

NOTE: the car does run for a few seconds before cutting off. I know that is not monumental, but want to be clear that we know that the engine does run. There seems to be a fuel delivery issue here, but I certainly don't have the technical credentials to determine more than that...

Oil is strong & clean (meaning no signs of moisture)
Coolant is normal (meaning no signs of oil mixture)
No fluid leaks at present

Again, I will keep this posting updated on Friday either way.

Sounds like a fuel pump relay.

I replaced the EHA today (swap out) with another used EHA assembly & we got it running for just over 12 minutes - even the idle was smooth. Then it died.
