1988 Mercedes 190D with Limited Edition Interior and Trim
 

For Sale is a super clean 1988 Mercedes 190 2.5 Liter 5 Cylinder Diesel. The car has 139K. Car is super clean and has No rust or rot. This includes body, floors, undercarriage, suspension and the infamous jack points. This car Has Not been driven in the salt. This is the hardest thing to find when looking for a Mercedes Diesel in the Northeast. A extremely rare 1993 W201 Limited Editions interier and body were used to update this car into a “Unofficial” 1988 Limited Edition. The LE’s were only made during the last model year of 1993. This includes the like new dash along with its burl walnut trim. Full leather seats are superb with leather not only on the seated area’s but the sides and even the seat back! Carpet is super clean with no stains or evidence of smoking. There are No cracks in dash and wood looks gorgeous. There are only tiny cracks in trans shifter wood. All work was done by me personally without cutting corners or using inferior parts. There is one sticking window on the right rear. The sliding roof works as intended. The 1988 Airbag was replaced with the 1993 LE.

New Timken front wheel bearings repacked with fresh Mercedes grease and new seals.
New metal(rear) and front rubber brake lines
Driveshaft Refurbish including paint, balance, front flex and center support bearing
4 New Shocks
Engine cleaned, EGR delete, KN Air Filter and new primary and secondary fuel filters
Transmission complete flush with pan cleaned/painted Mobil 1 Synthetic. New neutral safety switch
New intermediate pipe along with center muffler
Rear Differential Flush with Mobil 1

You will have the choice of original Stereo or updated Alpine model with Bluetooth, please specify which one you prefer.
Just finished up the brake fluid system flush and car needs nothing with the exception of paint and windshield. The paint is original with typical clearcoat issues, Chrome trim which came from Limited Edition can be installed or left off for paint. You can spend as little as $500 or upwards of $5,000 on paint. No bodywork needed. The car can be driven home. This car runs, shifts great and needs absolutely nothing mechanically. Price is $3995 which may seem high for your average clean rust free 190D but 100’s of man-hours were spent carefully removing the 93’s Limited Edition’s dash, seats, carpet, panels and exterior chrome trim.
