FS 87 300sdl

Regrettably for sale.
1987 300sdl no known issues! All systems work, good dash, great leather no stains or wear on carpets correct mats, regularly maintained. Have owned for 22 years, bought from 2nd owner in Houston, car from LA originally. Never in salt-ie no known rust ever. Michelin tires, lots of new parts as needed-correct not repro's.
Injectors are great matched set from Greazer, no oil leaks, smoking or using oil.

We have now four cars and only two drivers. We're getting older, but car is not.
423k miles, two correct badges on grille

Asking $5200 according to Hagerty "daily driver" condition but open to offers. Have spares that go with. Graphite exterior, grey interior.

Happy to send pictures of anything. Car located in Memphis, Tn and will make someone a very comfortable ride home.

Let's try not being insulting. $1K will buy you a parts car one of these. This car appears to be in very good shape, what the seller is asking is fair-market and he'll probably get pretty close to what he's asking for when the right buyer comes along.

Fair market? at >400k miles? OK. Maybe in Europe.
Also the hit and run accident that he did not mention.

Yes, $1k is low. It's worth probably $2k.

Best regards

Thanks for the vote of confidence, "filp". The car IS as represented. The car did have a fender scraped in a hit and run while parked in grocery lot several years ago; repaired in total by reputable local specialized autobody. TO my knowledge and others' investigation, that was the first. The car runs better than most with fewer miles. Don't judge until you see it.
Sorry, but yes I am offended. The pricing is based on research on internet for "daily driver" condition- I can assure you this is well above that. If people continue to devalue these, then yes the selling prices will go down.

Dear Forum Members,

Although I have not seen this vehicle, my brother has. My brother and I are Mercedes enthusiasts and my brother has worked on many of these older Mercedes in the Memphis area. This car is the real deal! It is well worth the asking price and we would be all over it if we didn't have a full stable of 8 w123/w126s. I do not know the seller, but my brother does and he is a stand up, professional individual. If you are looking for a nice 300SDL, this is it! The owner has owned it many years and has done a great job maintaining it. Thomas West

As a fellow 300SDL owner, no rust and no oil leaks would be a huge selling point for me!

Even with minimal body rust, any suspension items that get rusty turn into real PIAs when time to r&r.

Good luck!

"people" aren't devaluing them. the availability of better engineered, 20-year-newer mercedes diesels for less than you're asking is bringing the price down on all the older cars.
