95 E320 wagon, straight, much rebuilt..some damage.

I purchased a stored 95 E320 with mice in the ducts, cleaned it up and restored the AC systems to full function and then had a weird smoke issue nobody could explain. I rebuilt the cylinder head a couple times. New valves and guides all around. It still smoked after one rebuild so I RR the head again and searched for imperfections..It so happened it was the modulator valve on the trans with a ruptured membrane allowing trans fluid into the vacuum line! Anyway that fixed and I had a great car with 200K miles and some reverse gear transmission issues..But not leaking a drop of oil and NO smoke whatsoever. But then on some refrozen snow melt I smashed up the front end and had to remove the AC systems to repair the bent metal. But Installed a new grille and sorted it out to driveable condition WO AC systems. And then the ignition froze up and had to be drilled out. (I have a new, matched lock but cannot get out the old cylinder)

Anyway at 210K miles the engine is great..has new michelin tires with under 300 miles on them. Interior is okay but back seats are in storage..I have replacement rear bumper in black and all the AC parts for an ambitious rebuilder.

Located in Astoria Oregon. Also have the radiator plastic parts to replace the broken front end parts lost in the front damage. It was so minor that the radiator itself was totally undamaged, as was the AC condensor and tubing. The impact just pushed the front bumper mounts sideways about four inches, And up on one side..I jacked it back into line and replaced the front bumper. Headlights were not damaged... steering was unnaffected.

Perhaps I will simply list on CL and maybe AutoTrader and post links here to those ads with photos.

Now where is the button to attach photos?? (okay trying, maybe can reduce the file size and try again. Upload failed)

Target price would be $1000 due to the parts invested, new rad, new water pump, machine work and $500 for new Michelin radials. Offers..oh yes, also new blower fan motor and controller. (my first repair issue) And yes it has the new Delphi upgrade wiring harness. And it is oil suspension leveling, (not air) works great.

Somebody in OR or Wash or somewhere out West go buy this car. I have one with 150k on the clock that I bot for $400 a couple years ago. People give away these old wagons. Mine has been fun to rehab. The M104 engine is easy to work on and even though it does have a few well known issues, they're all resolvable. Sounds like the owner has disclosed all the dirt. Buy it and join "The Cheap Wagon Club"!!

Thanks PARSHOOT1. I really hate to sell it and just wish that straight six was in my 04 w211! Just started and ran the motor and is still butter smooth, unlike the V6 with its balance shaft. Three power strokes each 120 degrees apart and perfectly balanced! I nearly went to a BMW straight six 381i which can hit 35 mpg and produce 230 HP..all due to the straight six design which makes the V12 such a magic powerplant..I only now get it after going through mechanics school and never having it clear. I really went to school on this car and drove it across the country a couple times.
