1998 e300 Mercedes turbo diesel

German made Mercedes

This one has been ours’ for 3 years and the past 30,000 miles. The current mileage is 245,356 but goes up as it is still driven often. I have driven this car across the country. Formerly my wife’s daily driver, we have already replaced it with an ML320 to get the bigger cabin and the AWD for winter and off-roading.

Long list of upgrades small and large, along with maintenance records and receipts for the work done during ownership. The two most notable are the Complete AC rebuild when we bought it and the custom double DIN touch screen Bluetooth DVD stereo with apple play and android auto.

Also comes with small stash of spare parts, rebuild able cores, and maintenance items I sometimes bought in bulk. Currently needs nothing, no errors, lights, or mechanical issues.

Please look at the pictures and don’t ask a million silly questions.

This statement is so, so wrong. It makes me crazy when I see people spouting it. Not only that, it has no relevance to the value of the car, no matter what model it is. Suggesting that a car is less valuable due to it's country of origin is complete puffery.

Nonetheless, it is a common statement and I am suggesting this car is worth what im asking, not making fun of anyones newer car.

obviously I have put my wife in one (the mentioned ML320 CDI) and I daily a 2003 sprinter so..............

You're welcome for the bump. The statement is blatantly false, is my point. So why would anyone say this, that's all, especially in a group of people who know it's false?

I'm not making fun of the car, I'm calling out a statement that is untrue. It does nothing to "enhance" the value.

Yeah, I'm curious as well...what do you mean by the made in Germany comment? Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I'm assuming you're seeking to convey something you believe to be true.

Both of my 06 CDIs were made in Germany.

who knew? not me, I'm not an expert; I think my ml320 was made in Alabama and my sprinter was reassembled there.

We are all enlightened!!

I dont think much of the quality and durability of the newer mbz products, lighter, more complicated, plasticky. but to each their own.
