1973 450 SL and 1983 380 SL projects

For sale 2 SL's for the price of one! They are located in Concord, Ca.

1973 450 SL 160,+++ miles. Need some body work and paint. Has rebuilt motor and tranny. Previous owner spend 6k dollars on them and that was 17k miles ago. No undercarriage rust , rust is under the paint from sitting outside.

1983 380SL 190,000 miles. Odometer gear broke when I was driving it with 175,000.
Has dual timing chain upgrade, rebuilt heads, new cat when smogged a year ago, no rust.

A Broken control arm is the problem.

Take them both for 3,000 and make one or fix them both.

If interested, send me an email and I will send pics. They are too big for downloading onto this site.

^^ Actually, IIRC, it's the front subframe that failed on your 380SL, not the control arm, isn't it?

Yes you are correct, it's the subframe that tore off and the control arm is still attached to the tabs.

The 450SL you have would be still covered by the recall. MB should replace that one for you (or your future buyer)

If nobody buys it I will be forced to take up to the MB dealer and have it updated.
