72 W114 Coupe Looking for New Home
 

Lovingly cared for and maintained, 3 owners and originally a California car. This is a W114 coupe with the M130 engine and dual Zenith carburetors. . Transmission is a 4-speed automatic, with column-mounted shift lever. Serviced by Pierre Hedary. The dual Zenith carbs have been rebuilt and the car has been refitted with an original Mercedes solid state module/coil/breaker point ignition. The new A/C blows cold. There's a new radiator, original Mercedes auxiliary fan, horns, steering wheel, and “frog”. New speakers, new tires, new window gaskets and new windshield have been installed. The steering box, brakes, and transmission have been rebuilt. The power steering pump has been replaced. There is a new radio/cd, power windows, beautiful original MB-Tex upholstery and headliner. All replacement parts have been sourced either from the Mercedes Classic Center, German suppliers, or rebuilt, where possible. Repainted in the original color, creamy white, with some minor cosmetic issues, she presents very well. No accidents! Fun to drive and responsive. Only 9388 W114.023’s like this one were imported to the U.S. Service records available. Many hard-to-find extra parts available for an additional charge. Will sell them separately if interested. We have owned the car for almost nine years. She is showing 30,000 on the odometer, but we've figured she has 130,000 original miles from her documentation. She's currently having her power steering pump replaced. Everything else, including (replacement) a/c, is working. She has a crack in the dash exactly where all W114's eventually get it (see pictures). The rest of the interior is in good shape. I can provide you more pictures, if you like.

The original plastic one was warped and broken, and we couldn't find a replacement. My better half made the part out of wood, and I finished it to match as best I could.

Greta is still for sale. We would like her to have a new home. Don't you think she deserves it?

We just returned from vacation, and disappointed nobody has shown any serious interest. She gets plenty of compliments and turns heads in the street, but no real interest. I find this sad.
