FS: ATL, 1983 Euro 380se

This is a solid car, I intended initially to use the parts to fix my wifes wrecked 300sdl, but I had forgotten about series 1 vs 2 secondary hood latch variations.
Then I considered putting a 603 or 606 in it. I would love to be able to do this, but I haven’t the time to even put tie rods on my daily 124’s, plus I prefer the longer wheelbase cars.
From what I can gather this Grey market car was last registered/on the road in 2001 when the timing chain snapped.
The tires are brand new and have dot dates of 2001.
At some point between then and now, someone pulled a head off of it.
I would consider the engine toast.
The interior is nice and had professional seat covers installed at some point along the way. Has manual climate controls.
I have it listed on marketplace but all these fiends seem to be interested in are the cats and crushing it.
I thought it might be good to give enthusiasts a crack at it.
It is in N Decatur by Tucker.
I’m asking $450 but would be incredibly flexible on the price for someone who would use it for parts or to get it going again.

Looks bound for the crusher.

Euro log manifolds and exhaust.

Any decent wood?

I’d start grabbing parts from it that won’t make it look like a total eyesore.

I had a euro 1983 380se that had the same high front end. Mine had the second generation hood release, so it’s not like that can’t be converted. Maybe mine was in a front end accident.

Last euro 380 I came across had a limited slip differential

I too have found a lot of euros with limited slip differentials. The early euro 380 that went into euro 380slc (ended in 1980/81) is a higher-revving version I believe, matched to a 3.27 differential, while the later higher torque ones came with 2.47 differentials I believe. If you can jump to a gen2 differential, this 2.47 gearing is commonly available in 1986+ cars, but the gen1 housing would be good to have with LSD. I also look for LSD on all the euro cars, and haven’t found it on most of them. :(
