I know this is off subject but I need to sell and I am posting it with all my contacts. Thanks for allowing me to do so! If anyone is interested in a good ole american V-8 for towing or offroading this is a great buy!

1998 Ford Explorer Limited. This is the rare model that is above the Eddie Bauer. Totally loaded. V-8, AWD is automatic(no buttons), adjustable air suspension for on road and off road use, All power options including both seats and antenna, heated mirrors,puddle lamps, front and rear A/C and stereo controls, auto-dim rear view mirror, trip computer/diagnostics, compass and outside temp, overhead console, tow package(used 3 times), Just loaded to the hilt!! No sunroof! It does have a Yakima rack on top as well.

The truck has just turned 60k. It is under warranty til 75k. i bought it 2 1/2 years ago from the local Ford dealer as a program car. It had 30k plus when I bought it. It is black with tan leather. The Michelins LTX's were replaced by Ford 1 1/2 yrs ago. They have about 10k miles on them. I kinda sold this truck to my brother(engineer borg warner) and he took over my payments to do me a favor during a tough time. He has now ordered a new A4 and I took the truck back over. It has been maintained well and has really had no big repairs. Oil changes, rotation, brakes, battery, and $350 for a misc service.

The KBB average trade in value is $11,220. I owe about $15k. I am wiliing to take an offer around $12,000 if anyone is interested shoot me an email at rcgrjg@alltel.net.

Joe,

Sounds like a nice truck. I assume you have the 5.0 V8 or is it the newer 4.6.

I am trying to sell 1996 C280, 44k Miles, that is like new with almost new Michelins and new head gasket, August. I am in Marietta, Ga. I would like to see your truck if and when I move this MB.

Joe,

I don't know if we can get together on a trade. I really have been having trouble valuing the MB. I bout it about 3 months ago. 43, 350 miles for 17K, and did not catch oil leak. I can't believe I did this, but did.

It needed brake pads which I knew and replaced them. I had the gasket changed and new plugs while he was in there, about 3 weeks ago by Eds MB Medics in Vinings. Had a scare with a small leak this week, but it turned out to be steering damper which I replaced yesterday. I got a workshop manual for 94 C280 which does cover this car from the UK MB club for 90 pounds and one microfishe from MBUSA from which I have made paper copies. I had considered changing the gasket myself, but decided to have it done after I decided to sell the car. I am retired and we have a Camry and I bought this car after selling a truck and have since decided I rather have another truck or SUV. I have it advertised presently for 17, 950 hoping to get 17000 for it. It is priced low compared to similar cars in the current auto trader. It is smoke silver (light gold to me) with beige or light tan interior and had the standard extras and a CD changer that was added about a year ago by the last owner. It looks like new. I could email pictures.

So, this is where I am at the present.

Has you Explorer been off road?

My grandparents have 350 acres near Atl and there is a pond on the property. That is where I go to fish. I have to go down a rutted out tractor road to get to the pond. Sometimes it is muddy with puddles. That is about as offroad as it has gotten. Let me know what happens with the MB. Thanks!

I finally sold this albatross!

Now I can buy more MB's!! No it did not sell for a penny. I only got $11,500 for it. Oh well you live and learn. Learn HARD!
