Want to buy 240D/ 300D Bel Air, MD
Hi to all,
I live in Bel Air, MD and I am looking to buy a diesel. I am mechanically inclined and feel confident ( with the help of the members here ) to be able to perform all repairs and maintenece. I need a car in the $1000 +/- range that will pass a MD state inspection. I have no problem driving 100 miles or so to get the right car. Anyone have one sitting and not being used?--or know of one for sale? Thanks Michael Fowler ps a Peugeot 505D is also a possibility

You should be able to find one in the area as low as $1200 to $1500 that would be a reasonable car. I see 240Ds on EBay fairly often that are close to you and in that price range.
Sometimes a car comes along with a few problems that will go below $1000. Good Luck, Ken300D

I called the phone number in the Balt Sun ad; no answer. I'll try again, but it doesn't look promising. What kind of people place ads and then do not return calls? The ad has been running for a few weeks.

MS Fowler:
I have a 1980 300-D. The body has no rust and the car runs and looks great. There's one issue with the heat which you could look at. AC has been replaced and works fine. Email me if you're interested. I'm in McLean, VA, but the car is in Silver Spring MD (Four Corners).
