1990 300e

Hi,

Moving Sale!

High import fees for older cars in Costa Rica force sale of my beloved 300E.

Car is in superb shape and has road test miles only on complete valve job. Mechanic fixed sunroof cable and other items as well.

Receipt available for valve job and other work done by MB mechanic with over 35 years experience.

Traveling right now so photos will have to wait. If in Chicago area, email me and I'll let you know the location for viewing. (Still at mechanics awaiting my return.)

I have replaced alternator, belt tensioner, coolant level sensor, thermostat, and have just replaced spark plugs, air filter, etc. I have a Stearn's electric oil changer so Castol GTX is replaced as weather and mileage dictates -- Usually too much since it's very easy to do. OEM filter used by me -- Knect.

Previous owner replaced radiator, fuel injection system, AC condensor. Car had updated thermostat cover already on it.

Details:

135K miles
Sedan
Arctic White with light grey bottom trim.
Gray leather interior. No dash cracks.
Power everything except the car does not have the rear sunshade -- thankfully!
Headlamp wipers and washers work.
AC blows cold.
Loringser 8 spoke wheels.
Clear Corners
New hood pad and engine was steam cleaned by mechanic.
Blaupunkt Alaska CD. Active Bass Sound System.
Heated Seats with power lumbar adjustment. (The best for a long road trip.)
Interior is in great shape.
Tires are Goodyear M+S with good treadlife.

Items needing attention:

Rear muffler needs replacing this year. $125 on ebay
Cracks in righthand headlamp housing but not on light. I was going to put Euros on before leaving. About $75 on ebay.
If really picky, I would replace console trim -- not wood. About $50 to $70 at the U-pick-it.
Door sills need replacement. Might pick those up myself and have mechanic install unless you want illuminated sills:-)

It's good to go for 250,000 plus miles. (Figures I would have to sell it.) I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere and was going to drive it down to Costa Rica -- until I found out about their 80% import duty!

2 owner car. I received it as a bonus from my boss, the original owner.

$8,200. (Chicago market is higher for these cars.)

Regards,
