Hi everyone.

I'm looking for another Benz -- the baby 190e has been undoubtedly the finest car I have ever owned. I'm well into the 3rd year with this car, and it has yet to give me *any* problems whatsoever. But now I gave it to my girl to drive, so I'm in the market.

First, let's talk price range and location. I'm looking to spend no more than $2000 and want to buy a driveable vehicle within about 4 hours drive from Tulsa, OK and drive it home. Can it be done?

Cars I have missed so far:
'87 190e here in town, 105k, $1995 (this car included a 3 month warranty)
'89 190e in Kansas, 118k, $2000 (eBayed, seller took car off at last moment)

I'm going to look at a '77 240d in Okmulgee, OK this weekend, guy wants $2000 and says it was his daughter's car. We'll see...

But if you have or know of something in OK, TX, or KS, please show some kindness to a poor youngster who loves these things. Ideally, I'd like an old diesel, an 80s 190e or 190d, or a late 70s-early 80s 450SEL. I know they're out there...
