Thumbs up FS: Euro 1980 280se 4spd W126

Due to the recent purchase of a 1985 500sel, I am forced to sell my White 1980 280se. This is a Euro model (short bumpers, manual climate control, manual REAR windows, etc). It has the ultra-rare 4speed manual tranny. It has 203k miles, but runs perfectly. I have the original service manual that came with the car, and it has been stamped both in Germany and the USA.
This car is in overall good shape. The body has a few very small rust spots, but nothing major. The car was repainted by the P.O and it wasn't done very well at all. The interior is in great shape. I recently spent quite a sum of money buying a set of recovered/refurbished seats for this car in the dark brown color. The interior originally had that 'cream' color interior, but I replaced it with the dark brown color interior. The car has the original Blaupunkt Coburg dual-knob tape player, in working condition, with all books/manuals. The car runs GREAT! The transmission shifts well, although 2nd gear will 'grind' on occasion if you shift it too 'aggressively'. This car doesn't smoke or leak anything.

The only things that need attention are: When I bought the car, it didn't have an AC compressor/condensor. It needs that. The sunroof will work when it wants to, and the wood piece around the shifter panel is cracking. Otherwise, this is a pretty decent car.

I'm asking $2000 obo for it.
I'm located 50 miles east of Atlanta, GA.

For more info/pictures, email me at esalesga_AT_bellsouth_DOT_net (replace _AT_ with @ and _DOT_ with . of course)

Ok those are some really nice looking seats!! How much did it cost you to get them done? I'd love to do mine in a similar colour.

I bought the seats like they are. The previous owner of the seats had them recovered/reupholstered.
It cost me a several hundred $$$ to buy them as they are.
The color is a nice 'chocolate' brown color, but with some lighter and darker browns mixed in. The original Mercedes name for this color leather was "Brazil", iirc.
They really look great in this car.

Also, to whoever is interested- the car is still for sale!! The price is flexible! Make me an offer on it!
I need to sell this car soon!
