Want To Buy 1982-1985 300SD
 

I want to buy a 1982-1985 Mercedes 300SD. High milage is okay. I have a replacement motor and transmission, so the powertrain condition is not important.

I just fell into a deal on a 1983 300SD. I am picking up the car next week. I was looking for a car to transplant my very tight motor and transmission into but was not having much luck. Just happened to find a good car in Idaho with a new motor and many new parts. Want to sell the 1985 300D now. $1,700 takes it.

What can you tell us about the 300D?
Color, condition, etc.

Thank you wolf_walker. Yep, its for sale.

The 1985 300D is metallic grey with black interior. This is the car that I want to sell. It was hit in the driver's side rear door and suffered frame damage. Too much to fix. This car has 92,000 miles on it and the powertrain is very sound.

I have been having a difficult time e-mailing pictures to people. So far, my yahoo e-mail account has been the only one that has been successful in attaching all of the pictures.

That was a newby oopsie on my part. 1981s would have been fine also. In fact, I was trying to get in touch with a guy who had a 1981 down here but he wouldn't return my calls. When he did, I had already purchased the 1983.
