1993 500E For Sale 13k miles!
 

I had to choose between the wife and the car, and although it was close, the wife won.

I picked up the the car here in Houston earlier this year, it had 10,500 mi at the time, it now has 13,000 and change. the first owner kept the car immaculately, it looks like new.

Details:

1/93 build date
Pearl black exterior
Gray interior.
No modifications, it is exactly as it came out of the factory.
No body work or paint has been touched.
6 Disc rear mounted CD changer.

I have to sell but am in no hurry. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

I would say that the car is a close to perfect as one of these vintage cars can be. I cannot imagine that there are one or two better than this in the country.

I have looked it over in great detail now and will point out everything no matter how minor.

The flaws:

Three very small rock chips under the headlights.

One blemish on the right rear passenger door (it is too small to qualify as a door ding, but I think that is what it is.

The left corner of the rear bumber appears to have scratched with some fine sandpaper (cause unknown)

One small superficial scratch in the side bolster of the driver seat (appears that someone sat in it with jeans that had rivets)

The passenger side door map holder leather appears to have come unglued

The coolant light is on though the coolant has been checked and is fine.

The interior is otherwise perfect, the engine break-in instructions are still in the ceneter console!

Exterior paint is so glossy the my autofocus camera had a hard time focussing on the car and not the reflection.

Lots of lo res pictures to follow, bear in mind that the car has never been professionally detailed and I am not a professional photographer. I did wash the exterior before taking these pictures, but the interior and engine have not cleaned since I have owned it.

Hatch has had several like this with more miles listed at over $43K. I am asking $35K.

There is one tiny chip here although you cannot see it. The mark on the bumper is not really (I just looked) there it must be a reflection or crap on my lens.

Looks like it got scratched with fine sandpaper, it is very superficial.

I have not touched anything, it is extremely clean.

Instrument Panel
 

You can see the Coolant light on. I have checked the coolant and it is OK. Another board member suggested it may be a loose connection.
