Hey Guido,
Can't you source them out at a salvage yard? If it is the hydro shocks for sure. I guess you could contact George Murphy. He has more experience in leaking pump seal for the hydropnuematic suspension. I am not too sure about rebuilding the hydropnuematic shcoks or not. Sorry, can't be more help.

I have a used set?

65000 miles and no leaks. I replaced 3 weeks ago due to a creaking sound. Still had the noise, then changed control arms and all is better.

I think the old shocks are fine?

Chill out!

The new shocks I put in were no different than the old shocks - which one could assume there fine. How long will they last, I don't know and don't care.

Here's an offer: Get me a new MB 500E 93' wiring harness for $400 or less and I'll get you a pair of new sachs 500E hydro shocks for less than $600.

Fire I am cool. I just know these car. I have way too much diagnosis time not know thats all. whats happens when these shock go south is the mount point where it bolts to the lower control arm. Its a self lubed ball socket. When moitsure gets in there, its rusted causing a herendous clunching noise sounds like the rear sub is coming off. Thats what to liaten for. Also. The shocks are leaking. But the main culprit is the bottom part of the shock.
Ok gotta run

Replaced both my shocks and accumulators at 85000 miles. The shock mounts were fine, just clonked due loss of oil.
