Actually, you just missed one here in ATL (at Atlanta Motor Speedway) Don't know when or where the next one is but you should be able to find out through your local dealership or MBUSA.

We could set up our own MB on-track day. Car Guys has an event going on 7/1-7/2/00 @ Summit Point Raceway in W.Va. That is a mid-way point (sort-of) for us up North and our Southern buddies. It's about a 5.5 hour ride from L.I. The Grand PoohBah of Car Guys (Ken Smith) might set up an all MB run if enough people sign up...

they have other tracks and dates avaiable.
However, if you have the serious need for track time NOW-and you don't mind running with other vehicles why don't you join me (and my ZR-1) at Pocono Raceway 4/29-4/30/00. I think there are some openings left. Let me know-I'm leaving for the track Friday 4/28 at night....

the beauty part of Mercedes doing the on-track day is that you drive there cars, not your owne. It is an insurance issue for me. I can afford the car but can't afford to ball it up. (I'm working hard though and hope to make a track car in the years to come.)

For me the pleasure of "On-Track" came from thrashing the piss out of several sets of 18" Z-rated rubber whose retail cost I'd rather not think about having to pay myself. (though I did have help from Bill Wood and a fellow rabid to be named later)

Though that is not to say the Car-Guys event doesn't sound like an absolute blast but they are different kinds of fun.

It's called the "Power Trip" this year; see if that gets recognized.
