I lowered my 300e about a month ago. Very happy about the look and performance. One question I have #1 pads in the front and #3 in the rear and I was wondering if I switch to #1 pads for the rear will the car be level? My car is sitting at an angle right now with the front lower than the back and I wanted to lower the back a little more but don't know if I should go with #2 or #3. Any lowered 300e's out there please give me your advice. What are your combinations on your cars? Thanks.

Each size will make a .25-.3" change. So going 2 sizes will only make a change of 1/2".

Careful, the rear isn't adjustable for camber - if you lower it too much you may end up with excessive neg camber and accelerated tire wear on the inside edges. I did, when I installed Eibachs and 1-point pads, and had to back to the 3-point pads (kept the Eibachs though )

Thanks for your replies I think I'm going to stick with the #3 pads. I don't like the idea of the camber I will get if I lower the car to low.

Personally, I like the stance where the front is a little bit lower than the back. It makes the car look more aggressive.

Just my $.02...

lowered 300E

Personally I went with the #1 spring pads at all for corners and found the car to ride just a little higher in the front. Then the other day I was doing some serious cleaning which involved the removal of my sub enclosure and other assorted stereo goodies (weighing in at close to 75 lbs) and she appeared to level off nicely. However with all my junk in the trunk the rear tires tuck nicely into wheel wells which looks pretty sweet in my opinion. Another note you might find useful is that when I took her in to the alignment shop after the suspension work, the front needed significant adjustment, while the rear was practically within specs. One more thing. I dont know how far you plan on going with your suspension upgrades, but keep in mind that if you replace the antiroll bars with stiffer versions (ie ala 500E or Eibach) your ride height up front is going to increase even further.
