LOL...nothing is really up with the mystery machine gig. A very select few do know what car I have and I asked them not to tell anyone. I don't like posting those "look at me and look what I just bought" threads.

Shanta illy lace and a pretty face and a fast machine

a hanging down!
a wiggle and a walk
and some silly talk
Oh! Baby - U know what I like!

OK! Ok! so I married a couple songs there.

The point is - You are unique!

Story - I bought my wife an S6 to "use" as an around town vehicle to leave at the Train Station when we go to work and to gogetthegroceries with. The toys it came equipped with was for my benefit.

My point Shanta is - All most women care about is that: It will start! It will go when I put it in drive! and, It will stop when I put my foot on the brake.

I dream about a wife like you - Dont get me wrong (for all I know, you swallowed a Volvo!) what I mean is there are very few women with the same likes about High Performance Automobiles as you have. I love my wife dearly BUT!! If God wills there to be a number IV, I will do my shopping for same at a Race track or maybe even a NAPA High Performance Parts counter as opposed to a Patrick Swaze "Road House" or some Boston area Soire.

You don't know how much I would love to hear: "Floor It!" more often than I hear: "If you floor it one more time, there will be no more Nookie till Christ returns".

That said!, naturally, us guyz want to know -----

Fhat the wuck did you buy AND

how fast is it!

If it is some "wimp" mobile, OK! keep it a mystery.

HHT

LMAO... :p

It is definetly not wimp mobile ...more like a pimp mobile. A little more pimp then my E500 and more technically advanced then my E500.

I bought another Mercedes Sedan (there is a hint). I will let everyone know soon, right now I am modding the car with the following

1). Body kit (50% complete waiting on it to arrive, then it can be painted and installed)
2). 20 inch Wheels (100% complete just need to put them on)
3). Tint (Not yet started)
4). ICE (90 % complete...waiting on dvd player and rear tv screen).
5). Exhaust (50% complete)

Once all mods are completed, I am sure there will be pictures floating around somewhere (www.bnzsport.com)

Apart from the wheels the car is in very nice condition. I need to purchase a fog light lens, and replace a heat damaged intake pipe. Cruise control is slightly jerky in operation so perhaps the actuator is sticky/failing?

Starter/alternator wiring harness availability?

Michael, did you ever get that starter harness? I just inspected mine yesterday, and it is SHOT (and probably should have been replaced years ago.) The local stealer shows no stock in USA or Germany, which doesn't sound good at all. Please let me know... it looks like a real PITA to replace, let alone attempt to fabricate from scratch!

Hey bud!

I assume you are talking about Shanta'a 'Chine, the 1994 E500. I peeked at your homepage and WOW! nice pics of Outer Mongolia, OR and red line at the 150 mark

Yours truly

Oregon State Police Officer McClutzsky

HEHEHE just kiddin - Where is this bad boy harness and can it be fabricated by a harness maker for a possible group buy?

LOL! And thanks.

This is the harness that runs from the junction block behind the CAN box, down to the starter, and alternator. It has one thick cable to feed the starter & alternator, plus four smaller wires - one to trigger the starter solenoid, one for the alternator "D" terminal (field?), one to the oil pressure sender, and one to the oil level sender. It looks significantly nasty to replace since you can't even *see* the starter connections. I'm hoping we can still get them from MB Classic center, rather than resort to custom fabrication! On mine, if you look behind the alternator, the three small wires (2 oil senders, 1 alternator field) have most of the insulation GONE with bare wire showing. The thick cable still has insulation but it's brittle and crumbling off. Better to replace it now than risk a short circuit and/or fire!

I got more information on the starter harness, and moved it over to the wiring harness thread - don't want to tie up the "roll call" thread with techie stuff (sorry!)

Pictures of '93 500E with 13,000 mi

For all that want to see, the pictures don't do it justice, a lot of the specks are caused be a dirty lens. The car is flawlesss other than
1. Scratched bumper
2. Small scratch in driver seat bolster.
3. 3 rock chps under headlight.
4. One surface door ding on right rear door.
