Hi all,

I was just readin the CLK forum on mbworld.org. Some guy G-Teched his CLK55 and came up with AMAZING times!! Here is an excerpt:

"I only did a few 0-60 runs and here are the results (I knew Merc's 0-60 times were conservative):

Run #1: 4.72 sec. (I knew this was going to be GOOD!)
Run #2: 4.84 sec. (radical wheelspin off the line )
Run #3: 4.65 sec.
Run #4: 4.54 sec.
Run #5: 4.46 sec. !!!!! "

WOW!!! I am impressed!! I was wondering if any of you have G-Teched your cars and what your results were?

I am especially interested in any E55 owners' G-Tech Times, since i will be taking delivery of mine in a week. I know that magazines have tested the E55 and the 0-60 times have ranged anywhere from 4.8 to 5.5. The 5.5 time was in Car and Driver but i believe they said that the E55 they were testing that day had some problems.

If you guys could post your results that would be great!

CLK55 is suposed to be the fastest production Mercedes from a stand still. Sounds like it is true.

Not only that CLK55 is fastest production MB up to date, it seems that MBs run better(both acceleration-wise and fuel-economic wise)as they accumulate miles...

Put some miles on your spankling shiny E55, and I am sure it will keep going and going(and faster and faster)..

Wow! If those numbers are accurate, that's one fast car! I'm thinking those numbers are right a 4.5 0-60 is assuredly attainable in that car if you can get "hooked up" properly (drag-racer vernacular for perfect traction application)and get going!

I'm gonna have to stuff in a 6.5 motor before I pick any fights with a CLK55. However, I DO have a date with an E55 so we'll just have to see!

I placed my request with a "Mall Santa" for a G Tech this year. Hopefully I'm gonna find one under the tree and post some #'s real soon. The CLK's seem to be the fastest so far, but the E55's and 500E's have em beat for both SPEED AND COMFORT
