Hi I have a 95 C280 and was wondering whether or not I should take off the C280 part like I see on some E36 Bimmers, but I can always tell when its a 318 (haha). I used to have a C220 and was glad to see the C280 badge on there, but I was thinking of taking it off or taking just the zero off and putting a "Kompressor" badge on the right only because I have the stock SLK rims on the car (they look great by the way)? What are you opinions on any of this? I though the car might look cleaner with nothing on the back but the star? Also, I have a Colgan Bra on the front and was thinking about changing the front grill out since it looks kind of old with a Sport Design one from Precision Auto (has a star in the middle ala 560 SEC) or going the with S600 look, but I thought it won't look good on such a car or is there something that can be done to the stock grill like painting it - mainly I think it has too muchg grey plastic which looks tacky. My car is dark grey metallic - should I get it painted that color or just leave the entire thing alone since a bra covers it up? Sorry for the long post, I just wanted your opinions on these matters.

Hi
If you have an normally aspirated c280, don't put a kompressor badge on! I would just take the badge off and leave it be. The bumper skirts are different than the c230s aren't they? I'm not sure about the 95, but i would just keep the C280 emblem or take it off. As for the grill, I would either get the s600 style grill which looks very aggressive, or go about painting the grey plastic. It was commonly suggested that the E class grill is interchangeable with the C so that would be a good choice too. I think it has black plastic and more chrome strips? Not sure. Also, why do you have a bra? I always thought they had no useful purpose. If you are trying to protect it from rocks, when will you see the frontend anyway if you keep the bra on? Anyway, those are my thoughts. ------------------ Phil Ly 1987 300E Midnight Blue Remus Sport Exhaust European headlights Clear corners AMG 17in Monoblock IIs (hopefully soon) Eibach Lowering Springs |

Debadging is cool, but adding lies (kompressor) to the car is juvenile. I debadged my E430.
