280e historic racer

i have a 1984 280e euro which was brought in the us to use in the amerathon 84 ralley. it was originally prepped in a racing shop in munich. i am setting it up to use in vintage racing. i am looking for 15" steel wheels to mount some good tires that i have on hand. also a fuel cell which will fit in the spare tire slot, roll bar, fire extinguisher, racing seat, and anything else which any of you might know that i need and have for sale preferably reasonably priced.

thanks in advance.

pics

well yeah but it just looks like a tired old 280e euro with some rust and nasty looking paint. all of the special bits have been removed and it was put in service as a road car for ten years or so. the only direct physical evidence of its rally past is holes in the floor and direct testamony from its original owner.

thanks for the interest. i will try to remember to email the pics from the office to home computer.

Not to be rude but,,,,, What redeeming features does the car have that would bring it to a "vintage racing" value? Does it have a cool paintjob, strengthen chassis or modified engine? I don't see the value if it's stripped of all the good stuff and is rusted.
Thanks!

value

the value is in its history. it was built to compete in a professional ralley. i plan to restore it to vintage race standards and have some fun with it. the value is in the eye of the beholder. if you're not impressed, that's ok with me. i wouldn't tell you if i didn't like your car... i just would say nothing.
