does anyone know if the EVO II car used a self-leveling rear suspension? if so, are the self-leveling rear suspension shocks on the EVO II are the same as on a US spec 16V? if different, can the US 16V use the EVO II shocks? how can one obtain the EVO II shocks?

Thanks in advance,

John

The real Evo II cars had self leveling front and rear. I do not know if the rears are the same as a USA 16 valve, but I doubt that they are. It really sucks that those "ultimate factory hotrods" never end up on the US market.

If you want info. on the EVO 2, whether suspension or other tech. stuff, check out the website I have listed below.

On a trip back home to the U.K., I noticed an EVO 2 for sale (17,750 sterling), and this led me to the website.
www.mcp-motorsport.co.uk

Maybe they will look under the bonnet for you!

I don't know if the EvoII's suspension was self-leveling, however it WAS height adjustable via a rocker switch located next to the light switch. This location was incidentally where the headlight level control was located for europena 500E's that came with adjustable headlamps.

In any case, the EvoII's ride height could be adjusted up to 1" from the driver's seat
