Take a deep breath
No Mitch, but I have added a second Ram Air to the Air Filter. A number of members are trying to help me forward a photo of the config. Happy Trails Beep Beep from Houston.

Are you talkin' about the carbon fibre airbox offered by RENNTech? Didn't do it, but I started a thread about it in this section a while back with some pictures. The fit looked "sloppy".

Renntech or anybody else. Just looking (as always) for some extra added oomph (especially at partial throttle).

Does that airbox do much? I've given up on performance mods...the cheapest and simplest is a chip, but it seems nobody has any luck with 'em with E420's...K&N air filters seem to do nothing much either, from posts on this forum also...the only thing from which I can interpret results are those $30,000US 6.0 litre RENNTech engine conversions...but I don't think I have that many pennies in my piggy bank...if you flip through this section of the forum, that RENNTech airbox doesn't look very good...they seem to have used the original plastic housing, cut a big hole in it, and plopped the carbon fibre air box right on top of it; I think somebody said it was glued on, and that with the temperature cycling in the engine compartment, the glue was beginning to come off, and the carbon fibre was beginning to crack/peel. I think it is $950, and I guess you have to pay for labour on top of that. Instead of go, why not try some show in that engine compartment? I think this Lorinser engine cover in rubber ducky yellow is pretty nifty:

GOOD QUESTION!!!
...too bad I dunno the answer...I think your local Lorinser dealer will have 'em...the engine cover comes with a Lorinser-modified engine, but I'm sure you can purchase them seperately. I think you can pretty much get 'em in any colour you want: passion purple, banana yellow, flaming red, indigo blue, etc. etc...but I must say, I like the rubber ducki yellow!

DuckMuck
I've made a second air intake for the W124030. It offers ram effect with forward(not in reverse)motion. It is very cheap. I am the EL CHEAPO. It is very attractive. I'm trying a means to supply pictures to those who are interested in any of my EL CHEAPO items. Happy Trails Beep Beep from Houston.
