Scott:

IMHO, get those rims painted the same color as your body -- that would be AWESOME!

No, they are not AMG, I purchased the wheels from Bekkers import. They are the "AMG style" though. I can't believe how close they are to the real AMG wheel. Since this replica wheel is made in Germany and very good quality, and wheels for the most part are for image anyway, I thought why not save the money for other upgrades that do improve performance ya know?
----Brian, thanks, I would love to see what they would look like color matched before I do it. I might try some computer tricks. Post a pic of your car, love to see it.

Brian...

Just wondered about your lights. I just put euros on too, and am trying to find out the best way add wipers. Just wondered if you messed with it or if you just had the trim piece redone by a body shop or something.

Thanx,

Scott

Scott...

Very nice set up. Just wanted to ask about the pix. Your bumper looks painted and your grille almost looks black. Just wondered if that was how your camera caught it or if you actually made those changes. Also wondered about your beast is shod re wheels/tires.

Thanx,

Scott

Scott..

Just one more question...looks like you put euro's on the front. I just did the same a few weeks ago but haven't yet figured out if I'm going to pursue the wipers for more $$ or get someone to redo the strip between the bumper and lights?

Thanx,

Scott

Hi Scott,
I do not have euro headlights, I just made them hard to see with the pics. Euro headlights are my next upgrade though. As for the grill, I took it completely apart, cleaned it, and painted it black. You can go to the 190 Revolution site for instructions about that. http://members.xoom.com/190E/
My bumpers are NOT painted, they are original as well as the cars paint. I would however like to paint the bumpers champagne to match the rest of the car. As for your question about euro headlight wipers, I don't know since I don't have them yet but tell me what you end up doing. As for my wheels and tires, go to http://www.geocities.com/scotty-c_2000
to read about my car see other pics. Thanks! Scott

Scott (slotjocko):

1986 2.3-16V does NOT come stock with the wipers, so it wasn't an issue when installing my Euro lights. The 1987 16Vs do have the wipers and I understand it is a bit of an issue.

Great 500E Dave, have any other plans for mods or do you like it as is? It's great to see everyone's cars. A picture says a thousand words!

Dave...what a beauty. Noticed your clear corners. Just wondered what you did with headlights. I just added euro's to my '91 300E, same color as yours, and have clear corners. Just haven't figured out if I'm going to get the wiper's to match or just get a bodyshop to fill in the whole where the old wipers came thru the trim piece above the bumber.

Just curious...

Scott
