'94 SL600 Temp

HI. Im, new to this forum and I appreciate that it is here.

Does anyone know what the operating temperature range should be for a '94 SL600 with 109k miles?

To answer your question, MB states that the car will meet ALL specs at 80C or above. So that's probably the low end.

The upper side temperature can be most anything based on many variables; state of your radiator; mixture ratio of your coolant/water; aux fans operation; VFC operation to name the main 'players'. All of these contribute to keeping the engine temperature in a reasonable range.

My S500 cpe operates between 85C to 98C (w/ A/C on) depending on the weather and driving method.

96 Sl600

My dads 96 SL600 typically operates at about 80* celsius without the air conditioning to about 100* celsius with the AC on. As JimF said, it also has alot to do with many different variables, so with an almost new cooling system and Sacramento heat (about 100* fareinheit) I get what I consider to be normal operating temperatures.
