I have a 2002 SL500 Silver Arrow and I am getting close to having it supercharged with a Kleeman intercooled setup. The specs say 500HP or so and close to 500ft lbs of torque.

Anyone familiar with the results?

I have had positive experience with a Vortech centrifugal SC on a Dinan prepped BMW M3 and really want the extra power in my SL.

I am looking at about $14k for a CARB legal install.

Thoughts?

I seem to be in a minority of folks who would do something like this to an SL. For some reason the sedan folks are big Kleeman buyers, but I only have one SL reference. He is thrilled with his.

That is the intercooled supercharger and everything needed to make it work seamlessly with the car. It doesn't include exhaust, but that isn't mandatory unless you want even more HP. It is about $14k, by the way.

Nice site. How much more for stage 8 installed? I suspect at least double for "only" another 90 hp.

I think you would have a blast with that extra hp and torque. What does Kleeman claim about transmision life with the extra hp? Is there a concern? What about suspension upgrade needs with all that extra horsepower? And brakes?
